More words that I found true to my life that I could not find to express myself but recently read in a book...
“I wish someone had told me the simple yet confusing truth. Even when everything is going your way you can still be sad or anxious or comfortably numb because you can’t always control your brain or your emotions. The really scary thing is that sometimes that makes it worse. You are supposed to be sad when things are shitty. But if you are sad when you have everything you are ever supposed to want that is utterly terrifying. How can I feel so awful and sick and guilty and sweaty with panic when things are so perfect. If everything is perfect and I am miserable I have to wonder is this as good as it gets? And the answer is no, it gets better. You get better. You learn to appreciate the fact that what drives you is very different than what you are told should make you happy. It is an amazing gift to be able to recognize the things that make you happiest are so much easier to grasp than you thought.”
